T-230 San Marcos-Strahan Project
Scope: Construction of 16 piers
Location: San Marcos, Texas
Client: Lower Colorado River Authority (LCRA)
Legend mobilized to San Marcos, Texas, in October 2024 with the Irby Texas division to begin the LCRA T-230 San Marcos-Strahan project. The project includes 16 piers in total. Phase 1, which included 14 piers, was completed in 2024.
The main challenge on this project was access. All foundation locations are in tight areas in downtown San Marcos, requiring extensive movement and coordination. The last two piers have the most difficult access, but Legend worked with Irby to plan traffic control and matting to complete them. The final two piers are scheduled for completion at the end of
February 2025.
